CONFLICT

Resolve a resource-state conflict returned by the Ovok API.

HTTP 409. Problem type: https://docs.ovok.com/errors/conflict.

What this means

The requested operation conflicts with the resource's current state. This can happen when another operation changed the resource after it was read or when the requested transition is not valid from its current state.

Troubleshooting

Read the resource again and compare its current values and status with the values your request was based on. Check whether another user or process updated it, whether the action has already been completed, and whether the endpoint permits that transition. Preserve unrelated changes while reconciling the fields that conflict; do not overwrite the latest resource with a stale copy.

Retry safely

After reconciling against the latest state, construct a new request that represents the intended change and submit it once. If the operation may already have succeeded, verify the result before repeating it.

If the problem persists

Share the HTTP status, problem type, request path, response timestamp, and traceId with your administrator or support contact. Do not include access tokens or sensitive patient data. The Error responses guide explains the response fields and field-level errors.
