Run both RPM example apps

The monorepo is the quickest way to see the patient mobile app and clinician dashboard side by side. It installs one workspace dependency tree and starts both applications from the repository root.

Requirements

  • Node.js 24 or newer
  • npm 11.16.0, as pinned by the repository
  • Xcode and an iOS simulator to build and run the mobile app on macOS
  • Android Studio and an emulator/device for the Android mobile build

Install and start both apps

git clone https://github.com/Ovok-Dev/rpm-example-app.git
cd rpm-example-app
npm ci
npm run dev

The command starts the Expo mobile development server and Vite dashboard server. Open the local dashboard URL printed by Vite and launch the mobile app in an Expo development client. Expo Go does not include this app's native modules; Bluetooth pairing requires a physical phone.

To start one app instead, use npm run mobile or npm run dashboard. To build the iOS app, use npm run ios on macOS with Xcode installed.

Explore the source: the root package.json defines workspace commands; turbo.json configures task execution; each app has its own mobile package and dashboard package.

Start with demo data

Both apps can be explored in their synthetic demo experiences without connecting a project. The dashboard works in a browser without an environment file. Sandbox configuration is app-specific; see Workspaces and commands and the standalone mobile sandbox setup and dashboard sandbox setup before connecting accounts.
