Bots
Use executeBot() to invoke a bot configured for the current Ovok environment. The method accepts a bot identifier and an input object, then returns the bot's response as an object.
Identify the bot
Pass the identifier in system|value form. The system and value are assigned by the bot configuration. Use the exact identifier provided for the target project; do not assume an identifier or input contract is shared across environments.
Pass bot-specific parameters
The SDK accepts parameters as a Record<string, unknown>. Its fields depend on the selected bot, so build the object to match that bot's documented input contract.
const botIdentifier = selectedBot.identifier; // system|value from the bot configuration
const parameters: Record<string, unknown> = valuesForSelectedBot;
const result = await client.executeBot(botIdentifier, parameters);
renderBotResult(result);
The example's selectedBot, valuesForSelectedBot, and renderBotResult() are supplied by the application. Use the identifier and input fields configured for your bot. The SDK returns a generic object because the response shape is bot-specific.
Handle results and failures
Treat the result according to the selected bot's contract. Validate fields before rendering them and handle rejected requests in the same way as other SDK calls. The SDK does not define a common schema for bot inputs or outputs.
