Account deletion

Use requestDeleteUser() to schedule deletion for the signed-in account. This method schedules a future deletion; it does not delete the account immediately.

Choose the deletion options

The request accepts two values:

FieldMeaning
daysNumber of days until deletion. The supported range is 1–30.
wipeWhether the account's related medical data should also be deleted when the scheduled deletion runs.

Make the timing and data-handling choice clear in the account screen before the user submits the request. The response includes the scheduled deletion time and account information, which the application can use to confirm the request.

Handle the scheduled state

After a successful request, show that deletion is scheduled and explain what the user should expect before the scheduled date. The SDK exposes the request operation; if your product offers cancellation or changes to a pending request, follow the corresponding platform workflow documented for your Ovok project.

The example assumes client is configured and the account screen has already explained the selected options.

async function scheduleAccountDeletion() {
const result = await client.requestDeleteUser({
days: 14,
wipe: false,
});

showScheduledDeletion(result.scheduled);
}
