# ovok_sdk.resources.measurement_builder

Canonical page: https://docs.ovok.com/python-sdk/reference/resources/measurement_builder

Builds FHIR Observations from typed measurement readings.

## MeasurementTypeKey [#measurementtypekey]

```python
MeasurementTypeKey()
```

Bases: `str`, `Enum`

Measurement types the builder and `codes_for` understand.

Each value is the `measurement_type_key` string the API uses, such as `"blood-pressure"`.

## build_observations() [#build_observations]

```python
build_observations(params: Resource, subject: str) -> list[Resource]
```

Build the Observations for one measurement reading.

**Parameters**

| Name | Type | Default | Description |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `params` | `Resource` |  | `measurement` (with `measurement_type_key` and its values), and optional `device`, `effective_date_time` and `source_id`. camelCase keys are accepted too. |
| `subject` | `str` |  | Reference of the measured patient, such as `"Patient/123"`. |

**Returns**

- `list[Resource]`: The Observations, main one first; empty when the reading has no value.

**Raises**

- `OvokValidationError`: The type is unknown or a value is invalid.
