# Health

`ovok.health` reads the API health check. It sends no credentials, so it works before
anyone signs in.

## Check the API [#check-the-api]

The route always answers 200; read `ok` in the body, not the status.

from ovok_sdk import Ovok

ovok = Ovok("https://api.sandbox.ovok.com", "your-tenant")

if not ovok.health.check()["ok"]:
    print("Ovok is degraded")
