CustomCaseKind

The three frame roles a declared device may use.

  • "result" a completed reading; its fields are decoded, bounds-checked and reported
  • "stream" the device is mid-measurement; moves the device into MEASURING
  • "idle" anything else the device emits (heartbeats, menu state); moves it back to CONNECTED
  • "event" a stateful frame handled by the device declaration; it carries no declarative reading

The stateful roles the built-in device classes use (dependent, sn, error) are deliberately not available to declarations - they require a device class.
