# Health sync on the next client (preview)

`@ovok/native/next/data-sync` exposes the HealthKit and Health Connect import
contract through `@ovok/core/next`. It reuses the existing data-sync module and
keeps its legacy import path available. Start with [the next client](/native-sdk/guide/modules/next)
for client setup and [HealthKit and Health Connect](/native-sdk/guide/modules/data-sync) for platform
permissions, record mapping, and import behavior.

import { DataSync } from "@ovok/native/next/data-sync";

<DataSync.AppleHealthAuthorizationProvider readIdentifiers={readIdentifiers}>
  <DataSync.AppleHealthSync dataToSync={dataToSync} />
</DataSync.AppleHealthAuthorizationProvider>;
```

The `DataSync` components use the signed-in patient from the next client provider.
For a headless Android Health Connect import, use
[`runAndroidHealthConnectSync`](/native-sdk/guide/modules/next-background-sync) instead.
