# Copy one content item from the parent project

Canonical page: https://docs.ovok.com/api/cms-(fhir-legacy)/copy-one-content-item-from-the-parent-project-2

`POST /internal/cms/{type}/{language}/{key}/copy-from-parent-project`

Copies one content item, by key, from the parent project, giving the copy a new key.

**Auth:** bearer token. You must be a project admin.
**Scope:** the caller's project (from the token) and its parent project.

## Behaviour

- `type` is one of `blog`, `video`, `audio`, `template` or `export-template`.
- `key` is the key of the item in the parent project.
- If `language` is your project's default language, the item is copied in every language it exists in. Otherwise only the item in `language` is copied.
- The copy gets a new key: the original key plus a random suffix. All copied languages share that new key. `date` is set to now and `author` to your profile.
- Running the route again creates another copy. It does not update an earlier copy.
- The response is `{ "success": true }`.
- The route is also served under `/internal/cms/{type}`.
